The weather will be somewhat calmer in the coming week, though conditions will vary by day and location across Croatia. We can expect some rain at night, mornings will be crisp in continental Croatia and milder along the coast, while temperatures will reach 30 degrees in only a few places in Dalmatia. Here is another wine for any of theese occasions, this time a sparkling one...

Trs Cuccium sparkling wine is yet another testament to the versatility of Graševina, Croatia’s most widely planted grape variety. Although it contains a small amount of residual sugar, the characteristics of the variety and the traditional sparkling wine production method preserve its freshness. Aromas of apple and the onset of autumn intertwine with delicate yeasty notes, accompanied by a persistent mousse. Cheerful and excellent as an aperitif, it pairs well with mild-flavored cold cuts, though it is perhaps best served alongside river fish or white saltwater fish: grilled thick-lipped grey mullet is an ideal choice.
