Ten years after their first record, at the 2025 Štrudlafest, they brought the Guinness World Record back to Jaškovo! Arranged in the shape of the Zvijezda (Star) historic core of Karlovac, they set a new official world record with a continuous line of 8,940 strudels.
Tons of apples, kilograms of cinnamon
It measured 3,136.84 meters in length! They used tons of apples from local family farms and over two tons of flour, along with kilograms of cinnamon, while volunteers, locals and hardworking people from across the county poured out hundreds of liters of sweat.
ŠtrudlaFest 2026 takes place on Saturday and Sunday, September 5 and 6. In the Strudel Village, as Jaškovo is affectionately known, a variety of programs will run all day long across the main stage, the gastro stage, the children's orchard, and Aunt Marica’s courtyard.
No mention of wine: beer and liqueurs
Visitors to the area around Jaškovo can enjoy walks through the beautiful countryside, go cycling or even paddle along the Dobra River. No one will be hungry, though wine is notably absent from the extensive program lineup. However, strudels will be paired with beer on Friday and with liqueurs on Saturday.
