Back in 2006, Sacha Lichine took over the Provençal winery Château d'Esclans with the vision and task of creating the best rosé wine in the world. With the legendary oenologist Patrick Léon, he combined tradition and innovation and introduced Whispering Angel to the best restaurants, hotels and wine shops in the world. The 2025 vintage has just arrived at the Zagreb wine shop Miva Galerija vina, and a bottle labeled 20th vintage limited edition and two whispering angels costs 25.50 euros.
The wine is made from selected Grenache, Cinsault and Vermentin grapes from the Côtes de Provence region. It has a delicate pink color, a rich flavor and lively freshness. It smells delicately of citrus and red berries, and the taste is silky, persistent and with a lively finish. Those who want to compare it with a vintage a year older can also buy the Caves d'Esclans Whispering Angel Half, a half bottle from 2024. It costs 15.50 euros, and on its label there is only one angel whispering.
