A weekend dedicated to the grape harvest in Croatia’s easternmost city will kick off on Friday, September 4, at 10:00 a.m. with the drawing of the largest grape cluster at the Crvenkapica Kindergarten in the historic town center. At 5:00 p.m., the Sunset Lounge will be opened, offering wine-based cocktails. An hour later, hunters and anglers will serve up čobanac (shepherd's stew), fiš-paprikaš (fish stew), and grilled fish, while a wine fair will also begin in the historic center.
The Friday afternoon program will be repeated on Saturday, September 5, with music continuing late into the night in the historic town center and the wine tent on both days. Sunday morning will feature a fishing competition for seniors and plenty of entertainment for children, while adults can enjoy themselves at the Ilok wineries.
