There is one moment during the already traditional evenings that is remembered for a long time. The sun goes down low, Istria turns golden, and even those who don't normally take photos take out their phones. Wines are in glasses, snacks are on the table, music is playing. At that moment, Robi Bertoša knows that he has done what he wanted. A top-notch wine experience in the beautiful Istrian landscape. This young winemaker has made a brand out of Kaldir sunsets. Everyone wants to be a part of that experience. That was the case at the seventh edition of Sunset & Wine

We are here on the edge of Kaldir and we have a unique view. It would be a shame not to take advantage of it. But the point is not just the sunset. The point is for people to socialize, taste wine, eat good food, chat and maybe stay longer than they planned. If that happens, we have done a good job, said Robi Bertoša.

The guests were guided through six dishes by chef Stefan Tomašić and six selected Bertoša wines by the renowned Istrian sommelier Karin Rupena Perdec. It started with tacos and mortadella and pistachio mousse accompanied by a fruity sparkling wine Rosé. Then came bruschetta with roast beef, pesto rosso and grainy mustard, accompanied by a harmonious and juicy Malvasia Istrianska 2025, and then bruschetta with white fish tartare and cow's curd accompanied by a Pinot Grigio 2025.

Ravioli stuffed with smoked mussels, sea foam and toasted hazelnuts were accompanied by a rich and harmonious Pinot Grigio 2022, while the pork belly and beef burger with cheddar, salad, onion chips and Teran sauce was accompanied by a strong Teran 2022. Finally, the lime and lemon cream with almonds paired perfectly with the harmonious Muscat White 2025.

What I like most is that nothing is forced here. You come for the wine, then you try the food, meet people, the music starts and suddenly you realize that several hours have passed. And then that sunset arrives. It's hard to think of a better plan to spend the evening, said Sandro Lučić, who has been coming to the Sunset & Wine gathering for several years.
